I checked the books I will be needing for the year and (joy of joys) found that the Modern Age: Shapers and Definers course has as required reading books from authors like Diderot, Kafka, Nietzsche, Goethe, Dostoevsky, and Baudelaire.

Who knew university education would be this interesting.
My dad has opened a line of credit for the rest of my tuition fees but I'm going to try to find the books secondhand (I've already had a disagreement with my mother about which books to borrow from the library: I'd rather have Jack Kerouac than "Introducing Sociolinguistics" on my shelf after the year ends, kthx).
I'm also making a list of the books I want to pick up along with my textbooks. I already bought Bleak House, and China Mieville and George R.R. Martin are on the To Buy list.
Any other suggestions?
Also, my college's name is Vanier. Feel free to laugh. D:
